Duane A. Daniel brings over two decades of distinguished legal expertise to our firm, combining extensive regional leadership with deep commercial acumen. He has served as a special prosecutor and Director of Public Prosecutions (Ag.) in St. Vincent and the Grenadines. As a dual-qualified barrister-at-law called to both the Bar of England and Wales and the Eastern Caribbean Supreme Court, Duane offers clients unparalleled access to cross-jurisdictional legal solutions.
With 24 years of practice, and a Senior Practitioner, Duane holds an LL.B and completed his Bar Vocational Course (BVC). His dual admission enables him to provide seamless legal services across multiple jurisdictions, particularly valuable for international clients conducting business in the Caribbean region.
Duane's influence extends throughout the Eastern Caribbean legal system. He has served multiple terms on the St. Vincent and the Grenadines Bar Association, including several appointments as Vice President. His regional impact is further demonstrated through his executive roles with the OECS Bar Association, where he served as Treasurer and chaired the Continuing Legal Education subcommittee, shaping professional standards across nine member states. Notably, Duane represented St. Vincent and the Grenadines on the Civil Practice Rules Review Committee alongside the Chief Justice of the Court of Appeal, directly influencing civil practice procedures throughout the Eastern Caribbean Supreme Court system.
Duane's extensive government advisory experience includes serving as consultant to the Attorney General's Chambers on litigation strategy, legislative drafting, and Crown Counsel training. His expertise is frequently sought by the Insurance Institute of St. Vincent and the Grenadines for symposiums and legislative commentary, while his appointment as Chairman of the Bank of St. Vincent and the Grenadines pension fund demonstrates his trusted stewardship of major financial institutions.
Duane advises multinational corporations, regional hotel resorts, and statutory bodies on complex commercial transactions, corporate governance, and regulatory compliance. Representing major lending institutions and insurance companies in high-stakes commercial disputes, he brings strategic litigation experience across civil, commercial, employment, and family law matters.
