Jenell Gibson is a skilled commercial litigator and legal advisor with over a decade of experience representing both public institutions and private sector clients throughout the Eastern Caribbean. Originally from St. Vincent and the Grenadines and currently based in Antigua, Jenell is recognized for her strategic acumen, persuasive advocacy, and deep understanding of complex legal and regulatory frameworks.
A National Scholar of St. Vincent and the Grenadines, Jenell earned her Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) with First Class Honours from the University of the West Indies, Cave Hill. She went on to attend the Hugh Wooding Law School, where she earned a place on the Principal’s Roll of Honour and received two academic prizes for best overall performance. Her academic excellence continued with the award of the prestigious Chevening Scholarship, which enabled her to pursue a Master’s degree in International Commercial Law at University College London (UCL), graduating with Distinction.
Jenell’s legal practice spans St. Vincent and the Grenadines, Antigua and Barbuda, and Montserrat, with a primary focus on commercial litigation and dispute resolution. She has appeared before both the Eastern Caribbean Supreme Court and the Court of Appeal, acting on behalf of government agencies such as the Inland Revenue Department and prominent regional corporations. Her litigation portfolio includes matters involving taxation, contract disputes, and corporate governance, where her analytical precision and courtroom skill consistently deliver results for clients navigating complex, high-stakes disputes.
In addition to her litigation work, Jenell provides comprehensive commercial legal advisory services to both domestic and international clients. Her transactional expertise covers company formation, mergers and acquisitions, regulatory compliance, cross-border transactions, corporate structuring, joint ventures, project finance, real estate, and ship mortgage transactions.
Jenell is also a qualified corporate secretary and a graduate of the Chartered Governance Institute of Canada’s International Qualifying Program, enabling her to serve as external corporate secretary and offer integrated legal and governance counsel to corporate boards and executive teams.
In recognition of her growing influence in the field, Jenell was ranked in the Chambers Global Guide 2025 as an "Up and Coming" lawyer in General Business Law (Antigua and Barbuda)—a testament to her standing as one of the region’s emerging leaders in commercial law.
